And every single time I did it again.

It never left me. It just got harder to hold onto.
A body that stopped working. Eleven doctors. Twenty-six medications. A woman who had always taken up space with joy slowly losing herself in her own life.
Then my son was born.
But looking into his eyes I heard something deeper than any doctor’s verdict.

I chose him. And in choosing him, I finally chose myself.
And then my daughter arrived.
Surviving was no longer enough.
I needed her to grow up knowing she had a voice, choices, and could do anything she wanted with the one life she had.
She became my reason to show up completely.
